We are looking for a full-time, detail-oriented, customer service driven Staff Pharmacist who will assist in providing direction related to quality, clinical and compliance for our pharmacy in the Lincoln Park area.

Duties and Responsibilities:

 

You will be primarily responsible for:

 

Overseeing the dispensing of prescribed medications in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations for the Company,

Adheres to all applicable laws pertaining to the practice of pharmacy, ensuring overall compliance with state and federal statutes. 

Educate physicians and perscribers pertaining to the dermatological products that Apotheco provides and associated services.

Work with pharmacy staff; technicians, patient care coordinators, and customer service representatives.

Maintains a safe and clean pharmacy by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations designated by the Board of Pharmacy. 

Knowledge of medication and dosage measurements.

Proficient at pharmacy software system and electronic ordering of all medications.

Education/Experience:

 

Have earned a BS and has attended a credited pharmacy school, with at least 1-3 years of retail experience or equivalent. 

 

Language Ability:

 

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

 

Math Ability:

 

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

 

Reasoning Ability:

 

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

 

Computer Skills:

 

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft products.

• Strong drug product and clinical pharmacy knowledge

• Familiar with clinical program components, formulary designs, prescription benefit trends, and PA programs

• Time management skills

• Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information appropriately

• Strong computer skills, including MS Window, Word, Outlook, and Excel

• Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills
